Podmores supplies a further counting system for Exitex, an Irish company with 28 years in the business of innovative features to effectively seal, protect and enhance doors, windows and conservatories against even the most severe weather conditions.
Podmores refurbishes a heavy duty vibratory conveyor for a leading chemicals company that has been in the business of catalysis, precious metals, fine chemicals and process technology for almost 200 years. The heavy duty vibratory conveyor was supplied by Podmores over 20 years ago and designed to handle platinum ore. The equipment is still one of the most critical pieces of equipment in our customer’s manufacturing process.
Podmores supplies a cereal in-feed system consisting of a bulk storage hopper, vibratory feeder and a swan neck flighted elevator to the UK arm of an Austrian dairy company in business since 1900. The company has recently invested in a brand new factory in England and prides itself on its dairy products made with 100% natural ingredients and nothing at all artificial.
Simatek Bulk Systems A/S have appointed PODMORES as their representative for the United Kingdom.
Simatek, who are located in Denmark, has chosen Andrew Gough, Managing Director for Podmores and his team as its new representatives. With over 30 years of experience in the design, manufacture and sales of Bucket Elevators including 10 years as the Managing Director of Gough & Co (Hanley) Ltd, Andrew is confident that the partnership will be beneficial not only to Simatek and Podmores, but to a large number of customers in many different industries in the UK.
Podmores developed a special conveying system to handle munitions for a global company who develop, deliver and support advanced defence, security and aerospace systems. The company has major operations in five continents, with customers and partners in over a 100 countries around the world.
Podmores supply equipment to Potters Herbal, the UK’s leading herbal medicines manufacturer, whose market is expanding. To meet such a demand and support the company’s strategy Podmores created a cost effective, bespoke bottle in-feed elevator, bottle un-scrambler to prepare bottles for filling and an elevator to load the filling head from the operator side of the production line. The new equipment will save money for the company and improve production line efficiency, increasing capacity for two main lines of products, one of them for the product Eye Q, currently exported to European Countries such as Sweden, Poland, Denmark, among others.
Podmores have secured an order of 24 vibratory bowl feeders from a leading packaging systems company based in the Netherlands. The 24 low-frequency vibratory bowl feeders will be integrated into a high-speed crisp packet counting and packaging line, that is capable of processing an amazing 750 million bags of crisps per year. Each bowl feeder will receive a bulk supply of product from a storage conveyor and will sort over 120 bags per minute, providing a steady and controlled out-feed of individual bags to a conveyor system that incorporates counting devices that allow specific batches of bags to be counted into boxes or containers below.
On Friday 21st March 2009 Podmores hosted an event to raise money for Donna Louise Children's Hospice. Donna Louise Children's Hospice is a local charity that rely solely on the generosity and goodwill of the general public for funding to provide the much-needed support for children and their families. They need to raise £2million every year to continue their vital work and they count on entities like Circus Starr and people like us at Podmores to continue to bring joy to the lives of life-threatened children.
Podmores has been supplying equipment to Cannon Plastics, a company established in 1973 and a specialist in screen printing plastic bottles, aerosol caps, metal anodised cosmetic components and injection moulded closures, for over 20 years. The first item installed was a bowl feeder that is still in daily use some 19 years later and the latest addition to their production line is a Podmores bottle un-scrambler that feeds bottles to their main four color printer. The new Podmores equipment added to their production line was strategically bought to enable Cannon to fulfill long term contracts that the company has recently acquired with large blue chip companies.
