PODMORES have secured an order of 24 vibratory bowl feeders from a leading packaging systems company based in the Netherlands. The 24 low-frequency vibratory bowl feeders will be integrated into a high-speed crisp packet counting and packaging line, that is capable of processing an amazing 750 million bags of crisps per year. Each bowl feeder will receive a bulk supply of product from a storage conveyor and will sort over 120 bags per minute, providing a steady and controlled out-feed of individual bags to a conveyor system that incorporates counting devices that allow specific batches of bags to be counted into boxes or containers below.

“In times of recession and fierce competition big factory automation projects like this brings opportunities to both companies. This is our first order from this world leading packaging systems company and has been secured as a result of our vast experience in handling packets of snack foods. The teamwork between both companies has been excellent and it is always challenging and exciting to work on big projects such as this crisps production line”. Andrew Gough, Managing Director commented.
