Podmores And Cannon Plastics: More Than 20 Years Of Partnership!

Podmores has been supplying equipment to Cannon Plastics, a company established in 1973 and a specialist in screen printing plastic bottles, aerosol caps, metal anodised cosmetic components and injection moulded closures, for over 20 years. The first item installed was a bowl feeder that is still in daily use some 19 years later and the latest addition to their production line is a Podmores bottle un-scrambler that feeds bottles to their main four color printer.

The first item installed was a bowl feeder that is still in daily use some 19 years later and the latest addition to their production line is a Podmores bottle un-scrambler that feeds bottles to their main four color printer. The new Podmores equipment added to their production line was strategically bought to enable Cannon to fulfill long term contracts that the company has recently acquired with large blue chip companies.

Paul Jones, Production Manager for Cannon Plastics said: “For our customers the quality of products and the capacity to meet deadlines are the two most important things. The services we provide are the first stage in our customer’s production process, and therefore need to be on time and with the required quality, enabling the process to flow efficiently towards the end”. Cannon Plastics is a family owned business certified to  European standard ISO 9001-2000 and currently has a portfolio of clients such as J&J, Sainsbury’s, Ted Baker, Kangol, E45, George, among others. The majority of our products are bespoke and it is very important for us to build equipment that will be in use for many years with minimal servicing enabling maximum return on investment.” Geoff Sage, Production Manager for Podmores commented.

This bespoke system was specially designed for this application but similar systems can also be developed to handle products for the following industries: aerospace, automotive, chemicals, cosmetics, electronics, food & beverage, medical & biotech, military, mining, packaging, pharmaceutical, plastics & recycling.
