Schneider Electric, the leader in digital transformation of energy management and automation, have announced Podmores Systems as the winner of their Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) Secure Asset Connection Starter Pack competition.

Podmores Sprinkling System

Podmores have manufactured a system capable of spreading a variety of products onto cakes and cereal bars. The system is a standard Podmores spreader system featuring a small bulk hopper feeder, distributing feeder and finally the spreader feeder.
Podmores make plastic bung insertion system

Podmores have developed and manufactured a bespoke system capable of inserting plastic bungs into various sizes of cardboard cores. The system comprises two main elements; the first is a pair of bowl feeders providing a constant supply of product to the second part of the system which handles the empty cardboard cores and holds them ready for the plastic bungs to be inserted.

The entire system features a very small footprint and can was built to fit around the customer’s existing production line, improving output to around 25,000 eggs on cakes per hour, all at a very high quality.

Podmores have helped a leading automotive airbag producer to handle knitted mesh airbag filters. Incorporated in airbag inflator systems, knitted mesh airbag filters use uniformly compressed knitted wire mesh elements to trap particulates from the propellant and to cool the expanding gas in the event that the airbag is deployed.
